Torey Hayes, Worship & Youth

Torey was born and raised in Remlap, Alabama. He graduated from Huntington College in Montgomery. Torey is a gifted musician and vocalist who loves the Lord and has a passion for both worship and leading young people to a deeper walk with the Lord.  He and his wife, Katie served as volunteer youth leaders for 10 years  until he came to serve on staff here at the Grove in 2018. Torey and Katie have one son. Among  his many interests are bow hunting, cultivating his bountiful garden, wood working in the shop and hanging out with family!

Patrick Smitherman, Children's Pastor

Patrick came to join us at the Grove in September 2024.  He and his wife Tonya have served together in both children and youth ministry since 2008.  They both feel strongly called to serving the Lord through children’s ministry in the local church. They have three children and love serving together as a family.


Patrick is committed to developing relationships with both children and their entire family as he seeks to nurture them in their faith journey.


He enjoys travelling the world and camping with family and friends.
